In order to collect her grandmother’s childhood favorite songs, Kylie decides to step into her grandmother’s past memories with Princess Musica!

About the Concert

Music and arrangement by renowned composer Ng Cheuk-yin, text by famous musical actress Jarita Wan, along with our famous jazz musicians – this concert takes you to an adventure to Musica Princess’Musica Palace to revisit the classic songs from grandma’s childhood. Presenting well-known Cantonese and Mandarin nursery rhymes, such as Molihua and Bright Moonlight, this concert introduces these familiar Chinese melodies to the little ones while adding a jazzy twist to them! Little kids get to sit freely and dance along the grooves, feeling the beats with their bodies and broadening their musical horizon and imagination!

Little Kids Winter Jazz World

“Little Kids Jazz World” is a series of family concerts specifically designed for children aged 2 to 5. It features jazz reinterpretations of famous children’s songs, jazz standards, and original compositions, introducing young children to the highly artistic and globally popular genre of jazz, which may be less familiar in Hong Kong. The series premiered in 2021 and received great acclaim from parents and enthusiastic responses from children. The concerts, including the Christmas-themed “Little Kids Winter Jazz World” launched in December 2023, were nearly sold out.

The “Little Kids Jazz World” concerts incorporate theatrical elements, connecting songs with a storyline to create a rich and captivating experience. In addition to musical performances, interactive dialogues are woven between songs, relating to the songs or children’s daily lives. The concerts also include interactive segments such as Q&A sessions, games, and simple jazz rhythm activities, designed to engage children’s interest and maintain their focus, while encouraging active participation from the audience.

Furthermore, the concert venues, audience seating arrangements, and program booklets are carefully designed to match the theme. Audience members are welcome to dress up in attire related to the concert theme, allowing children to fully immerse themselves in the music without inhibitions.
